Toby Fletcher

Thank you for being a friend.

Toby Fletcher, 6/1/20 -

Toby was a simple dog. He had his interests, things he liked, but above all, had no problem in showing love to everyone he crossed paths with.

In his days on this Earth, he loved laying in the sun at the front door for extra warmth. He constantly played with all his favorite toys, which happened to be every single toy we had in the house! He loved his treats, whether it be a cracker or raw veggies. Every time we’d have company at the house, he would be at the door to greet them and make them feel welcome, up until the time that they left. He loved people, and made everyone feel that love.

However, his all-time favorite pastime was watching the dog shows on TV. Grooming, sports, obstacle courses and competition. I’m sure he had his favorite athlete with as much as he was invested. He would watch for hours at a time and bark his little head off. Such a joy.

He loved his kennel, especially after he had a long hard day of playing with all his toys. He knew that when he ran into his kennel, he would wait for his guaranteed night-time treat. That was something that always made me smile.

Most of all, when I would come home from the grocery store he would be so excited because he knows that his mommy brought him a treat or a toy. He always let me know how appreciative he was. I believe he felt the same from Gerald and I.

A dog will love you no matter what. If you treat them with love and kindness, a dog will do the same for their master. There's no better friend or companion than a dog. It truly is man’s best friend, and I believe God designed them that way.

Thank you for being a friend, Toby. We love you.
